“Kyle and Kris came into care when they were 11 and 3, respectively. Their parents went through a difficult divorce. Allegations of abuse surfaced so they were placed with their grandmother. Both boys displayed behavior problems in their parent’s and grandmother’s homes. Kyle’s behavior quickly improved after the placement change. Kris continued to struggle with violent outbursts that involved kicking, biting and verbal attacks. Family Focus services began to help in the reunification process and assist the family with behavioral strategies. The boys recently returned to their father’s home. Family Focus continues to be involved with the transition. The family has utilized services to help understand Kris’s behavior and develop strategies to improve it.”
